Information processed
The extension accesses the URLs and titles of tabs in the current Chrome window, along with tab state needed for its features, such as whether a tab is active, pinned, audible, grouped, or recently accessed.
It also stores the preferences you choose, including sort order, automatic sorting, and automatic grouping settings.
How information is used
Open-tab information is used only to provide these features:
- Sorting tabs by website, URL, title, or recent use.
- Creating and maintaining tab groups by website.
- Finding exact duplicate URLs for manual review.
- Keeping pinned tabs fixed and showing relevant tab state.
The extension contains no advertising, analytics, tracking, or remotely hosted code.
Storage and retention
Tab information is processed at runtime inside Chrome. It is not sent to or retained in a developer-controlled database. Extension preferences are saved locally with Chrome's extension storage and remain until you change them, clear extension data, or uninstall the extension.
Chrome permissions
tabs- Reads and organizes open tabs and closes tabs only after an explicit user action.
tabGroups- Creates and maintains groups for matching websites.
storage- Saves extension preferences locally.
sidePanel- Displays the manual duplicate-review interface.
Your control
Duplicate tabs are never deleted automatically. You must select duplicates and confirm the close action. Automatic sorting and grouping can be disabled in the extension popup at any time. You can stop all processing by disabling or uninstalling the extension.
Policy changes
This policy may be updated when the extension's functionality or data practices change. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a revised effective date and, when required, disclosed through the extension or Chrome Web Store listing.
